Ok….hanging out with this little Princess was an easy job. If you look at her images, you can see why. She gets my cutest baby award because of all her cute expressions. Her parents would get her to raise her arms by saying “Whose the winner?” It was just too cute. She would raise her hands, scrunch her nose and wiggle a bit. I could have photographed her ALL day!! I meet this family this past weekend on the beach here in Carlsbad. Mom wanted to capture images of her girls and granddaughter. You can tell the love this family shares just by hanging out with them, the closeness they have and their love for mom and grandma. I also noticed the quiet beauty in each one of them. The kind of beauty that you see in their eyes, the shyness of being in front of the camera and sweetness they have from within. The camera doesn’t lie though. Each one of these girls had a quiet beauty that shone from within and I was happy I was able to capture this moment for them. Here’s your sneak peek….hope you enjoy it!! Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; The Simple Things

Sometime just being together is enough. When the days seem to pass by quickly and you have a ton of things on your plate, don’t forget the simple things. When I look at these girls, I look at the subtle way they interact with their parents and see how much love is in this family. While shooting one of the girls, I  notice how the other had somehow fallen and daddy was right there comforting her, reminding her that at the end of the session there was ice cream waiting for her. Suddenly all her worries were gone. Then I look at the simple things I get to capture for these families like the beautiful eyelashes on these girls and it reminds me to slow down, and remember the simple things in life. Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; Ivey Ranch Crew

When we first moved to San Diego county 10 years ago (wow…can’t believe it’s been that long), we moved into the Ivey Ranch community. We made such good friends in our community. Although most of us have moved on, we still keep in touch and it’s fun watching our kids grow up. Little miss “M” and my son were the same age when we lived in the neighborhood and now they are 10. San Diego Photographer MKP Images; Daddy’s boy and Momma’s girl

What a great weekend in San Diego. The weather was absolutely magnificent and you couldn’t have asked for better weather. I meet the Curtis family at one of the parks by the beach they like to frequent. Little “M” was familiar with the park, squirrels and the trains that pass by. He was full of fun and was quite the daddy’s boy. Little “A” just soaked everything in while peacefully hanging out with mommy most of the time. Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; Loving my Carlsbad Families

We been a part of this wonderful Carlsbad community for 2 years now and we’ve meet some great families. This family is one of them. We have run in the same circles these last couple of years and are grateful to call them friends. Our kids play sports together and we’ve spent a lot of time on the sideline cheering them on. Carlsbad Newborn Photographer MKP Images; Newborn Love

There’s nothing sweeter than a newborn less than two weeks old. This one was no exception. Sweet little Miss “S” loved to be held and fully clothed. So much so that when she was naked and laying down, she let us know what she wanted…..LOL.  I can tell she is going to be a strong will woman : ) I knew if I was patient I would get the shots the parents wanted. Solana Beach Photographer MKP Images; Biggest Compliment

My biggest compliment is having a repeat client year after year. Repeat clients make me feel good about my job and I love being able to capture them during the holidays. I love seeing children grow and families change. I also like finding new places to photograph clients so they don’t have the same looking photos each year. Last time I saw little “A” she wasn’t walking or talking. Now she’s a big girl, on the run and giving mom and dad simple commands. Thanks for letting me share another holiday season with you. I’ve known this family for 9 years and it’s always fun to see how much they’ve grown. Our oldest kids were toddlers together so it’s amazing seeing how fast they grow. It’s also fun to see the family dynamics and all their personalities. Another beautiful family and beautiful day here in Carlsbad. It’s mid October and it feels like it’s still summer. This family was full of fun and energy and kept me on my toes : ) I love the expressions the boys would give me and while I was reviewing the images to edit, the individual images of the boys made my heart MELT.
