During the holidays, many families get together to spend time with their loved ones. This family came to Oceanside to enjoy the warm weather, gather with their family and give their mother the priceless gift of photography. It was a beautiful day at the beach and a few of them got to enjoy their last day before getting on a plane and heading to the cold midwest….burrrrrrrr!! Here’s hoping you arrived safely and enjoy your sneak peek ; ) (20 comments will get the family a free 5×7 print)

Escondido Photographer MKP Images; Whose the Winner?
Ok….hanging out with this little Princess was an easy job. If you look at her images, you can see why. She gets my cutest baby award because of all her cute expressions. Her parents would get her to raise her arms by saying “Whose the winner?” It was just too cute. She would raise her hands, scrunch her nose and wiggle a bit. I could have photographed her ALL day!! Thanks for sharing her with me. It was hard picking out her sneak peek images because she was so stinkin CUTE. Here’s your sneak peek….enjoy!! (20 comments will get the family a free 5×7 print)

San Diego Photographer MKP Images; Happy Birthday Mommy
This family was taking photos for mommies birthday not holiday photos, although I’m sure they could use them for both. What a special gift from her husband! We meet at the beach and got done to beach business. The kids loved playing in the sand, finding rocks and giving them to mommy and daddy. You could tell the special bond they shared by just watching them interact with one another. Here’s your sneak peek…..enjoy! ; ) (20 comments will get the family a free 5×7 print)
Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; Quiet Beauty
I meet this family this past weekend on the beach here in Carlsbad. Mom wanted to capture images of her girls and granddaughter. You can tell the love this family shares just by hanging out with them, the closeness they have and their love for mom and grandma. I also noticed the quiet beauty in each one of them. The kind of beauty that you see in their eyes, the shyness of being in front of the camera and sweetness they have from within. The camera doesn’t lie though. Each one of these girls had a quiet beauty that shone from within and I was happy I was able to capture this moment for them. Here’s your sneak peek….hope you enjoy it!! Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; The Simple Things
Sometime just being together is enough. When the days seem to pass by quickly and you have a ton of things on your plate, don’t forget the simple things. When I look at these girls, I look at the subtle way they interact with their parents and see how much love is in this family. While shooting one of the girls, I notice how the other had somehow fallen and daddy was right there comforting her, reminding her that at the end of the session there was ice cream waiting for her. Suddenly all her worries were gone. Then I look at the simple things I get to capture for these families like the beautiful eyelashes on these girls and it reminds me to slow down, and remember the simple things in life. Here’s your sneak peek, hope you enjoy it. (20 comments and the family will receive a free 5×7 print)

Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; Ivey Ranch Crew
When we first moved to San Diego county 10 years ago (wow…can’t believe it’s been that long), we moved into the Ivey Ranch community. We made such good friends in our community. Although most of us have moved on, we still keep in touch and it’s fun watching our kids grow up. Little miss “M” and my son were the same age when we lived in the neighborhood and now they are 10. Time sure does fly by and I wish we could stop it. Thanks for letting me share in your holiday pics. Enjoy your sneak peek : )

Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; Fall Days
In California you don’t get to see many fall colors like you do on the East Coast. This park had some beautiful fall trees that made for some fantastic holiday portraits. The DeVilbiss family met me for some holiday portraits and was able to see a part of San Diego they hadn’t seen before. Here’s your sneak peek, hope you enjoy them. San Diego Photographer MKP Images; Daddy’s boy and Momma’s girl
What a great weekend in San Diego. The weather was absolutely magnificent and you couldn’t have asked for better weather. I meet the Curtis family at one of the parks by the beach they like to frequent. Little “M” was familiar with the park, squirrels and the trains that pass by. He was full of fun and was quite the daddy’s boy. Little “A” just soaked everything in while peacefully hanging out with mommy most of the time. I was glad I was able to capture some moments for them for the holidays. Thanks for sharing part of your Sunday with me. Enjoy your sneak peek ; ) (20 comments and the family will receive a free 5×7 print)

Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images; Loving my Carlsbad Families
We been a part of this wonderful Carlsbad community for 2 years now and we’ve meet some great families. This family is one of them. We have run in the same circles these last couple of years and are grateful to call them friends. Our kids play sports together and we’ve spent a lot of time on the sideline cheering them on. I was honored to take their family photos this year. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Carlsbad Photographer MKP Images gives back; Giving is AWESOME!!!
**Promotion extended until December 20th** Photographers around the world were challenged by the wonderfully Kristen Kalp of Essential Imagery to give the gift of custom photography to someone who may be very deserving but unable to afford so.
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty. You know someone. I guarantee it. I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography.
I’ll be giving away a complimentary session, a 16×20 canvas, and the high resolution digital negatives, a $1000 VALUE!
All I need is a deserving person who would cherish captured memories of their family. You have the opportunity to make this a special Christmas gift for a special person. As a bonus, if you send in the nominee I select, you’ll also receive a $150 print credit (session scheduled for 2010).
The Rules:
You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two million dollar vacation home in London does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
The nominee must reside in San Diego County. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork.
Please include your email and or phone with your nomination as well as the best way to get in contact with your nominee. All nominations must be received by midnight, December 20th, and the gift recipient will be announced on the blog on December 25th.
Email the full story to me at givingisawesome@me.com
Forward this blog to anyone you feel who would like to nominate someone. I can’t wait to read all of your entries! Open your heart to someone this holiday season – and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
